Default time for service

Well after listening to the exhaust tick every morning for a bit I finally got the truck into the dealership for a look. Turns out had a couple broken studs, fixed under warranty at 95000km, no questions asked. Also had them take a look at front suspension as it feels a bit off when cornering but nothing found. My truck falls into the recall for the pinion nut but there is still no fix available from Chrysler.

Good to hear that the dealership took care of you. I've seen a lot of posts about this pinion nut recall. So how does Chrysler do a recall without a fix? That's kinda like wiping before you poop, it just doesn't make sense!

exhaust manifold studs were an issue on the 2009 & 2010 HEMI engines

It sure is funny that Chrysler can't find anyone to make what is called a patch with some blue loctite embedded on it
or at least to peen the nut so that it can't back off
in racing they use something like a castle nut & drill through the pinion gear shaft & run a safety wire through it, no way it can back off then

I know, its not like its rocket surgery, there are a few possible fixes to it and any of them are better than waiting while more people have their driveshaft fall off. I really don't understand how hard it is to come up with a solution and implement it. They seem to be able to launch a completely new vehicle (Dart) in less time than it has taken to solve this issue. As far as the 'parts are not available' that is BS too, there are plenty of auto suppliers out there with capacity to produce whatever parts they need to fix this. There's just no profit in fixing a problem.
