Default Finally, second email from VOTS!

Ordered 5/7, got the "production scheduled" email from VOTS three days later on 5/10.

Since then, nothing. Not a peep. Crickets.

But I was kind of expecting to hear something this week, since I "think" (not sure) that this is the final week for production of 2013 Ram 1500's, so if they are going to build my truck they'll have to do it this week (I think?).

So, this morning, finally, a second email from VOTS. Movement, finally, yay!

Or... NOT!

It's the exact same "production scheduled" email I got almost 7 weeks ago. Checked the site and yup, still no movement on my truck, hasn't even gone to frame yet.

The dealer told me to expect 12 weeks when I ordered, which will put delivery about August 7. So, I'm not terribly surprised, or disappointed - not "terribly". But I'm not thrilled, either...

That's the same thing that happened to me. It was two weeks after that second production scheduled email that my truck was built. Hopefully that's not the case for you. When your truck does get built it will go fast. Mine was built and shipped last week.

I also have a Longhorn on order (4/23), was promised a 6 to 8 week delivery however still haven't received even the second D-1 email. I find myself renting a tow vehicle for the weekend of the forth but knew this was going to be a possibility, bummed but not aggravated . At this point I just assume not hear anything for a few more weeks and then have a '14 built. Accounting for inspection delays and shipping holds, if people start receiving their '14's or I see '14's on the lot before I receive my '13 it's going to be a problem the dealer.

That's pretty much where I'm at too. Suppose my '13 could still happen, even if I'm guessing right on this being the last week, there are still a few days left, so it might get built after all.

But... I'm kinda getting used to the idea my order is going to get switched to a '14.

And yeah, if I stick with the '13 order and I even get a sniff of a '14 being delivered before I have my '13, my dealer is either going to give me a last minute price break or he is going to have a late arrival fully loaded '13 on his lot for sale!

Surely the assembly line is running 3 shifts a day
a vehicle driving off the assembly line about every 10 minutes
1 vehicle takes 15 hours from the time it begins assembly, until driving out the door
is a lot of Rams

Production for the 2014 Ram should start July 22, 2013
8 to 10 weeks for the first one to be delivered
if they do things the same way as they did last September, (They started production in September of 2012 )
the first 2013 Rams were 4x4s

Mine was ordered 4/18, took forever to get 2nd email, then it got built pretty quickly. Problem is after it was built, it shipped right away and has been sitting on a yard in Toledo, Ohio for over two weeks. CS has missed all three delivery dates and now it's over a week past the last one they gave me. My truck has been done and sitting still for over two weeks! Needless to say I'm pretty pissed, since several others on this forum got built after me (same trim) and received theirs a week ago or more. Ram has been less than helpful with this. Hope you have better luck.
