Default 2" or 2.5"

I'm only posting this here because the suspension forum is a barren waste land, just dead.
I'm thinking of getting a 2" or 2.5" leveling kit for my truck.
For those who have done this, how hard is it to do by myself? and can I install with the same stock shocks and everything?
Thanks guys

well there is also a sub-forum dedicated to just leveling...and that section is NOT dead. unless you actually went by the number of people viewing that page at particular moment in time...which is...strange.

but anyways, for any of the gen rams, I've heard (and experienced with the 3rd gen) that leveling kits are totally a DIY job. Just a good selection of normal shop tools, a spring compressor possibly depending on your suspension. But as long as you are remotely mechanically inclined...you can do it yourself in probably a few hours.

The spacer is just installed on-top of the pre exisiting parts.

I just put a 2" kit in mine. My kit was the spacers, if I had to due it again I would not use the spacers! The front end was way out of line almost 2deg had to be made up. Plus I lost a ton of shock travel. I'm looking into adding the 5100 shocks to help with the shock travel. I think you can run both?????
