Default Lug Stud length

I am going with a 4" BDS lift and 295/65r20 Nitto Trail Grapplers wigth stock wheels on 2014 Ram 1500. They swear up and down that I cant possibly fit these without a large spacer. (1.5" spacer) I found a 1" hubcentric spacer from Motorsport but I know that the lugs cant stick out longer than spacer. I want the tires to fit in fender as tight as possible. Has anyone measured the studs or have their wheels off today?

Do your stock wheels have clearance pockets next to the lug holes on the inside of the wheel? if so then you can run the smaller spacer.

How The wheel is shaped has nothing to do with the lug Studs for a bolt on spacer does it?

Yes because the new studs on the spacer will be aligned with the voids in the back of the wheel leaving you plenty of space for the studs to clear.
