Default SD card issues

So a couple of weeks ago I started my truck and the SD card played music for about 2 seconds and stopped. The radio worked fine, just the SD (media) part stopped. Took the SD card out and put it back in and nothing. The next time I started the truck it did it again and the time after that it worked fine and did for a week or so. Now it's doing it again...the SD card will play music one time, but the next time I start the truck, it plays for a second or two and stops. It's very intermittent...anyone else have this issue? I've also tried a different SD card with the same results.

Yes, I have the same issue. I have not taken it in yet. I've tried reformatting the SD card and changing the file format but it did not solve the problem. I have noticed it seems more prevalent at higher temps. When this happens the Bluetooth audio on your phone will not work also. It's like the entire media part of the stereo stops working. It is really irritating.

I had similar problems as well & tried the reformat, etc. What I ended up doing was cleaning the contacts on the SD card (pencil eraser), putting the card in & out several times & then cleaning again. After that I had no problems. To me it seemed that the internal contacts of the card reader were coated with something that prevented good contact at all times. After "cleaning" I've had no problems.

Well, the dealer had it for two days and said Chrysler told them to replace the radio. Radio has been ordered, just waiting for it to come in and we'll see if that solves the problem

Parts changers, that's what the service folks have become. There are no more troubleshooters out there, just parts changers!

Trouble is a lot of the times they change the part it doesn't fix the issue, then they go looking for something else to change. LOL
