I can't offer anything to this thread as I'm still trying to figure out the nuances to towing, but wanted to wish you a safe journey and do let us know how you make out.

Nice ride by the way.......both of them!!

definitely go with Airlifts, although your load doesnt seem to be sagging too bad.

I just stopped 20 miles from town either way to help a family with a blow out on a trailer they had 4 rotten tires in the 106 degree heat no jack no spares no 4way I took the wheel off took it to town fixed it ( they obviously had no money and kids in the truck with no air) I would suggest you be prepared. Make sure you keep some cash on hand for emergencies.
Good luck with the PCS.
Mick
P.s. I also bbqed some chicken for them when we got to town the kids were hungry and I know what its like to have nothing and need to start over the lady was crying for almost an hour.

You don't need anything man , your good to go. Just bring that Corvette to my house....I used to pull my 7,650 lb Travel Trailer with my 09 1500 & she was great but suffered on mpg. That's why I went to a 3500 Cummins...Good luck Bud.

That's how we do things around here. Without each other we have nothing. I was near homeless a few years ago I know what its like and its not good.
I got about 200 lbs of chicken 300 lbs of pork 300lbs of beef and some bison in the freezer come on over we'll have a party. You bring some of that smooth Canadian whiskey.
Mick

If you're thinking of a WDH + AL1000, we suggest getting TotalLoadControl.com instead.

It'll be about the same $ and give you something you can use all the time.

Just ask ArmyofOne!

Too funny!!

Well I'm glad that things have worked out for you.

It's always nice to see or read a good story for a change. It gets kind of depressing listening to doom and gloom all the time.

If I ever make my way to your part of the world, I will bring the whiskey for sure........of course we call it rye.......even though there is little rye in it anymore! LOL.......
