Just played with the EQ a bit and found that if I set low to 9,mid to -3,high to 0 it sounds way better. Also found that an mp3 recorded cd sound way better than the HDD.iPhone through AUX also sounds way better than HDD.Way more bass and much louder on both mp3 and iPhone.I have some Infinity 6x9's and old school Rodek amps I'm taking from my 98 Ram that I hope I will be able to use.

I asked because some of the radios have had a software update

the RHB 430Navigation
the RBZ 430 non navigation
the REN 430 non navigation
are basically the same except for the maps

i will look for any updates
http://www.dodge.com/en/owners/quality/ren/

this may not be the latest update, there may be newer ones
REN firmware update 9.293 i believe was for the Gracenotes

Press the Menu button and look under System Setup or Info or something like that, for the information

The front doors are a major pain, and will take an amp and processing to improve a lot. The rear doors are drop-in full-range. I've spent a lot of time on mine in the past few weeks, and I'm still far from happy.

I replaced the dash speakers and rear doors and it cleared it up some but it sounds like the stock amp is holding them back and they can go much louder.

I want to get a aftermarket amp, but it seems like a PITA to do.

Stereo shops in my area charge $100 for an amp install and take all the guess work out of it.
Always an option and soooo worth it

The number one cheapest (free) thing you can do is disconnect the center speaker. That cheap china speaker steals all the sound and completely wipes out the sound stage and stereo sound. Once you have done that, replace the fronts....it seems after that (I have gone no further myself) It's all about BIG $$$ placement and wiring. Honestly, just those first two things makes a big improvement with no mods and little $ but it does make you want to do more. I'm looking at Sub replacement next.

I don't have the alpine, but like the others said, replacing the dash speakers made the most improvement in my truck as well. I used kicker ks 3.5"
