to give yall a heads up,.they have a new software that will let them know you had a tuner in it, it wont show what kind or what yall reprogrammed, but show when it was installed and when you took it out,. they do leave a trace, even if you flash it to factory, it will show it was flashed and from what date ,just saying lol
This has been discussed many times before on here. It won't let them know you had a tuner installed, just that the pcm has been re-flashed. If you leave the tuner on the dash when you go in it makes it pretty obvious how the re-flash was done.

So I flashed about 20-30 times trying different tunes and settings, plus some BD updates. If the dealer asks for an explanation...what does one say

Tell them you clean your battery terminals often because you don't like that green stuff that gathers on them

I have seen a couple recent threads around where ram owners have had truck issues and the dealers KNEW a tuner was installed and denied warranty work. Damn that sucks, I want my $40.000 back Bullydog, you said the dealer would not know a tuner was installed.

Regrets and worry's for sure now
Toughone for sure considering the circumstances. Crosses finger issues never arise!!

Play dumb. "I don't know why, sir". The burden is on them to prove it.

Unfortunately, "clearing the memory" by disconnecting the battery isn't the same as reprogramming the pcm. You can unhook the battery as many times as you want, but it won't change the installed program.

Deny it! Tell them to show you proof that they know! Sorry for the forthcoming bad analogy, but if you committed a crime and they had no evidence, but said they "knew" you did it, would you just admit to it? It's a game. They're looking for an excuse to deny your warranty, and your not gonna let that happen, are you? I think if your dealership is cool, and your cool with them it's most likely not gonna be an issue in the first place.
BTW, you got a BD tuner for $40.00?!?

The dealer can Prove that it was not flashed by an authorized dealer. That's the beauty of a national network. (unfortunately?)
