Default Differential and Trasfer Case Help

I am getting ready to change the fluids in both differentials , transmission and transfer case. I have a 2009 4WD Laramie with the Hemi. It has 3.55 gears. I looked on the original window sticker, but it only tells me which transmission I have. To buy the correct fluids from Amsoil, I need to know which transfer case the truck has in it and if the differentials are limited slip. Any way of identification? Thanks, Tim C

Did you ever get an answer? Just curious. I didn't know they had different transfer cases in the 1500...I thought they were all pretty universal and required regular transmission fluid.

You should know whether you have limited slip...that should be on window sticker you looked at. You can also email Ram customer service and get a build sheet for your truck if you're interested...I think they go back to 2009, but I could be wrong.

Jack up the rear end. Turn one wheel. If they both turn the SAME direction you have a limited slip. If they turn opposite directions it an open rear end.

atf plus 4 in transfer case and 75/140 in diff and the amsoil should already have antislip additive in it already. Good luck hope this helps prolly no more then 2 or 2.5 quarts in the transfer case

Thanks for the input. I went to the dealer(against my better judgement) and had to buy the NVG246 transfer case fluid. Mine doesn't take ATF+4, so while there I figure I would buy both trans filters. One was wrong. Parts guy even wanted the VIN to make sure the fluids and filters were right. Just can't seem to have a good dealer experience. Anyway, with the exception of the Mopar transfer case fluid all my fluids are now Royal Purple. I'm expecting 32MPG on my next trip. Think it's possible? Me either.

I believe the Mopar lubes are synthetics, anyway. I have heard a few guys run 75/90 Mopar in the rear differentials, supposedly a slight gain in mpg. I don't have the nads to, though.
