Your Princess is the only thing that truly matters and I'm glad to hear that she, and yourself, are perfectly fine.
The last wreck I was in was about 8 years ago with my girlfriend in my somewhat modified RX-8. Not a super expensive car but I did put a handful of work into it including a nice turbo, new suspension, etc etc - about 10K total. Had it for 3 weeks after turbo'd before someone ran a red light and slammed into the passenger side.
Every airbag deployed, car was tossed like a toy, spun around quite a bit. The second that real time caught up with me all I did was turn to the girlfriend and make sure she was OK. She actually made a comment about the car and how expensive it will be and all I said was "it's just a f***ing car, who cares".
Yes if someone got near scratching it I would pitch a fit, there is some justified foot stomping from time to time but if it's something serious - life comes first. That girlfriend became my wife, and is now carrying our first child - it's always nice to see a car or truck live up to their crash tests!
Not your best 4th of July, but it sure could be the most important one to date - everyone is fine and a truck lived up to its name. Go get yourself a new shiny one!
