Default how do I turn radio off ?

Stupid question but here goes anyway....I can not turn the 8.4AN radio off.

It starts playing every time I get back in truck and start it up. For the life of me i cant find a function icon or button to shut the radio down. I flip to other functions and can exit them no problem. i go back to radio i can change stations, bands, etc.... But can't figure out to shut off and exit radio from playing !

Going to go in to the manual soon when I have a chance tonight, but still this should be intuitive.

Fred

You can't turn it off I don't believe. All you can do is mute it.

Not sure if the truck will remember you muted it when you start it back up.

You can always put it on aux or Bluetooth mode before turning off the truck. At least with the 8.4 radio. It will stay there when you turn it back on but won't play music until you turn on the aux or Bluetooth device.

Or turn the volume down?

The GPS voice is independent of the radio, so it will still work.

I found the same on mine....goofy really. I have pandora streaming through my phone. After I start the truck and the bluetooth connects...pandora starts. Same with FM, etc. Weird having to push the mute button everytime I get in the car.

Like the OP...I can't seem to figure this out

I am having the same issue with Uconnect 5.0.

I can only mute the radio ... and when I start the car again the radio comes back on ..... its annoying .... :-(

Anybody knows a way to turn the radio off?

would be nice to turn the radio off on the 8.4 but i have a habit of turning the volume down to about 5, always lower then 10. before i get out of my truck. did it with all my cars. hate getting in and start the truck only to almost s*** my pants lol.

i think its mostly from when i had subs in my old car that really started it. nothing like getting in and starting the car to 2500 watts and two 12" subs with the volume all the way up. lol
