Default Air Grabber

Well, got back from vacation yesterday and met up with Andrew from Bully's to grab my new Vararam. FYI, sick truck buddy, one of the sweetest rams I've seen to date brother!!

Anyways, Andrew was fantastic, chatted about the trucks a bit, I grabbed the Vararam Air Grabber and was on my way. Thanks again for the part Andrew, will be talking soon about the exhaust!

I got the boys to bed around 9:00, and it being a beautiful night I thought, what the heck, lets do this, I can't wait any longer.

By 10:00 it was on, was very easy to install, and this was my FIRST time ever trying to work on any vehicle, so well done Vararam, the instructions were very well done and I did this in the dark basically.

Here is a couple pics, I got the orange top, which I love, really stands out when you pop the hood! Couldn't be happier. Now we'll see if I can notice a difference in performance and fuel efficiency.

Where I took off the old air intake, it left a huge opening in my engine compartment now though, will have to fill that up with something else... ;0)

Up next, exhaust! Any suggestions? Want it to rumble!!

Chris, pleasure to meet you as well after many emails back and forth

many times, I wish i didnt listen to my wife and went with a white ram vs black...lol

Clean install and I have that gaping hole as well and will more than likely be sticking a secondary battery there for my accessories in the truck

As for other mods? Tuner, 87mm BP Ported TB and Exhaust will surely wake the truck up and get it moving even more

I went with a Flowmaster super 10 muffler ($70 from advanced auto parts) and resonators cut off. It's really loud whenever you get on it, especially at WOT. And it has a distinctive growl when it shifts up, hard to explain in words, but it's sick.

Everyone's definition of drone is different but to me, there isn't really any drone. It is quiet on the highway and MDS kicks in. Basically it's quiet when you are cruising, and screams when you accelerate. Ohh yea, it's sounds good starting up too.

After watching tons of youtube videos and reading up on stuff here, this is sounding like the exact thing I would like, the sound is awesome with that setup.

This thing blew my lights off though... lol

Looking good Chris! I think debadging is in my trucks near future. And as for the exhaust, I still say MBRP....but everyone has a different sound they look for.

I was on the fence about debadging at first, but now, wouldn't have anything but.

As for the Air Grabber, been very impressed with it. I can honestly notice a slight difference in the initial pick-up speed. As soon as I touch the gas, the truck takes off, seems to be a little more responsive off the start with the Air Grabber installed.

I reset my gauges today to see what the difference, if any, on the fuel consumption. Before I was averaging about 17.9 L/100km I believe but that is mainly city driving and I don't exactly take it easy... lol

Will update this in a week's time to see how the average is looking.

Did you just do the fishing line to cut the badges off the adhesive? Heat or no heat?
