Default Cold Air intake

Hey everyone,
Got a question towards my 2012 Dodge 1500 Big Horn. I'm still under my warranty there has been a some rumors and I can't get them answered. If I got a cold air intake on my truck will it void my warranty.

+1 on what brandon said, if you want to really be sure your not going to have issues you can always opt that your dealer do the install and sell you the CAI, but just for a heads up, the Stock CAI is really good product, unless you are thinking you want to hear more engine noise and have a lifetime filter for your truck, you might opt for just the filter in the current CAI, as it is a very efficient Stock unit. Don't get me wrong, I replaced mine for a K&N cause I love to mod.

What Asur said is a great point. If I had to do it over again I would probably just replace the stock filer, replace the tube from the airbox to the throttle body, and add a secondary inlet pipe to the bottom of the box. Unless you're going with a S&B or Vararam that's what I would recommend doing.

Since the factory makes a CAI for our trucks, I would say no. THEN again, it all depends on the dealer. For something that simple, I would say No it wont.
