Default Vents Intermittent

My vehicle is a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 with Cummins deisel. When the air conditioner is on I get cold air through the drivers side vents and outside air(warm air) through the passenger vents. When I move the air control switches to different positions I can usually get cold air through the passenger vents.

Any ideas?

Having read on this common issue, there are a couple things that could possibly be causing this. The more pita of the problems could be blend doors in the vent system not opening and closing correctly, but some people have said that Dodge a/c is a little odd in that you can actually get this problem from being low on refrigerant, which is actually pretty easy to top up, assuming you don't have a leak.
