Default 5.9 magnum uses oil still!

Hello I'm new to these forums but I have been to several others and finally decided to post. I have a 98 ram 1500 rclb automatic and I replaced the plenum gasket once and then again with the hughes kit and the things still uses oil like mad. About a quart every 400 miles. Runs like a top and doesn't leak a drop. Replaced pcv with a fram unit and I recently looked into the keg and I see there is oil in the aluminum pan! I followed directions to the t and it still uses oil. Should I replace the valve seals and pcv again it what? Not new to engines at all just newer dodges are kinda foreign. I'm used to old Chevys. Engine has 170000 miles and has little to no blow by when you pull the pcv valve. Any help is appreciated.

Do you see any smoke at any time? Any higher rpm operations? Could be having blow-by at higher speeds. Air filter looking oily?

It did used to smoke a little bit on startup but that went away after first plenum change. Never exceeds 3000 rpm and rarely above 2500rpm
Air filter not oily at all

At 170K, you at least are looking at bad valve stem seals.

I thought about that already and they may be using some oil but they can't be the reason the keg is oily on the inside. The only way it could be getting oil from the valve seals into the intake is if the cylinder is pushing air back up into the manifold which only happens with a large overlap cam. This does not have a cam of any sort in it! Haha. I do plan on replacing valve seals but just wanted to be able to get all bases covered so she doesn't use oil anymore. The pickup has treated us great and we haven't had any major issues with it so I hope to make it to 200000 at least
