Flowmaster has been in business for years. Theres gotta be something keeping them in business. Straight through is not necessarily a good thing. These newer engines need to see some sort of back pressure to run efficiently. I don't want to knock any other brands, because personally I havne never used them, but for my money and recommendation to anyone Flowmaster will ALWAYS be the first word to come out of my mouth. I am also a very big Mustang fan (unfortunately I don't own one... yet) to me there is nothing that sounds better than a Mustang with Flowmasters. I can hear one coming from a mile away and say yep thats a flowmaster!

I have Flowmaster super 40 on my Hemi and it isn't half as loud I thought it would be. I still still have the resonator installed though. I am leaning towards getting the Flowmaster 10 to have a meaner sound.

I just installed K&N CAI and Predator Tuned yesterday as well. Love the truck

I am surprised you all think the 40 isn't loud enough. Maybe it's because I still have good hearing but boy it is plenty loud for me!

Arth that sounds good I was thinking about going 40 series too Now i want to know what the 10 sounds like never heard anyone say a thing about it. It's always the 40 the 50 or the whole american thunder package.

Arth, my Flow 40 sounds nothing like that. I got a feeling that I need to cut out the resonator and give it more time to deepen the sound. The exhaust has only been on a few weeks.

My 5cycliner Chevy Colorado after a year with Flow 40 is louder than my 400+hp Hemi with Flow 40.

what size tips are you using? The tips are what deepens the sound. So if your still using the stock tips that could be where the hold up is. I've got super 44 on mine with daul 4" x 12" tips and its deep alot of people know its me before they see the truck. I'm like the others though... kinda wondering what super 10 and daul 5" would sound like you can hear a clip of mine at wot (captured off a phone so its not the best quality but you'll get an idea) in the offroad section of this forum under "pickup pull" title.

Ahh well I should mention I have upgraded my tips to 5" and that helped with the direction and level of the sound.

I have the resonators still installed on my truck.

I have the cherry bomb extreme which is the same as the 10 series, deep tone. no drone and quiet on the highway, and when you get on it, it just sounds amazing.
