Default Removing/Blacking out all chrome

See attached photo.

So I have a 2007 Ram Sport that I recently bought. As you can see it's pretty chromed out. I'm starting to dislike the chrome, it almost looks tacky to me. I'm thinking of going with an all black theme. Tinting front side windows, remove all chrome, black rims, etc.

So my question is, how hard is it to remove the chrome? One of the side mirrors is missing the chrome backing so I assume those aren't too difficult to remove. But what about things like the handles? Can these be painted?
What about the bumper? And the side step? Window guards, or whatever you call those?

Thanks for any advice!!

That is a lot of chrome ..
I hate chrome
For the bumpers and window visors.. You could always just plasti-dipp them.. For the running boards and handles.. Would want something stronger to hold up against the wear and tear of constant use of the handles and steps. Here is my thread with some pics of how my chrome front bumper and grill turned out after I plasti-dipped them.

No problem at all and thanks a lot.. I just find so many trucks are overchromed and not toned to the proper level (Chevy front end is a mirror). I prefer the blacked out look, especially with a dark truck. Or silver like mine.

Yeah I agree, there's a fine line between nice and tacky when it comes to chrome.

I just love the black on black on black look. Tinted windows, black everything, rims, etc. Just badass to me.

Your white/black theme is sweet, too. Im digging the grill.

I have serious thoughts about plasti-dipping or line-x'in my whole truck to make it all black.. I love blacking stuff out.
Hell I love black trucks that are all blacked out.. Black, white, silver and mineral grey are my favorite colours to black out for sure.

I got a silver/black theme rocking out.. Also have a black 5" MBRP exhaust tip sitting in my bedroom, just waiting on the adapter to come in tomorrow.. then gettin my resonator removed and new pipes after my super 44's.. Then next will be my bilstiens adjustables (also sitting in my room) on some black 17" XD addicts with 35" Toyo M/t... Murder out all the chrome.

Man you shoulda seen the chrome crap that came on my truck! Chrome flame covers for the tails and 3rd brake light. Chrome flames in the grille. Chrome bug shield. Chrome door handles and gas cover. And the worst of all? Chrome crap all over the inside of the truck! it looked like shit! And it was a pain in the ass to get off. 95 percent is gone now though! And i couldn't be happier with how my truck looks.

I still have the chrome badges but other than that its all gone!

That's gonna look wicked, man be sure to get some pics.
Hopefully within the next few weeks I'm going to get a 40 series delta flow installed, and eventually some new tires and black rims.
