Default EVIC weirdness

OK, so Thursday morning when I start her up the Fuel Economy display shows average mileage of 14.4 L/100Km. Problem is that when I shut her down Wednesday evening it was showing 17.? L/100Km.

There are approximately 100Km so far on this tank.

Noticed also this morning, because I was trying to figure this out, that the run time was only showing 9 minutes and counting up by seconds.

The only thing that I've done lately (a day or two before this started) was switch from metric to English and back again to metric.

Anyone ever hear of something like this happening?

Any ideas?

Yeah, mine does the same thing. Starting up the engine takes a lot of fuel.

So if I got this right, you are saying when you shut it down at night it said 17 L/100 km, but then then next morning it said 14 L/100 km?

Not sure why that would be if that's the case. But I have seen the computer do some funny things sometimes. I have seen the distance until empty kms drop by 15 or 20 km in just a few feet, but then jump back up.

Idling and city driving will certainly make those 2 numbers really move around a lot quickly, but 14L/100 km sounds about the right number if you drive hwy and city... Not sure this helps

This truck will never see a dealer shop if I can prevent it. Also it's off warranty. We only get 100,000KM warranty.

Pretty sure I didn't hit reset. That would have made it 0 at start up, and about 35 as soon as I put it into gear. Also the run time clock thing really has me bummed. You wouldn't think that would be changeable.

On the run time clock.
I think I had that misinterpreted. It's not total run time it's just time since last reset. However the reset for that is different than the Fuel Economy display reset. I may have accidentally hit that reset as I had just filled the tank a few days before and would have reset Trip A. Perhaps I reset the time display by accident. However the mileage display remains a mystery. I'll just keep a close eye on it.
