Default headers = big headache

So STARTED installing my ARH longtube headers on my 2011 ram yesterday using a lift. Will finish ( I hope ) today after work. I'll give a bettwr update later when im done.

Problems I ran into:
- manifold heat shield covers pain to get out
- few O2 sensor connectors a pain to get to
- Y pipe didnt want to come out, had to cut off from where it crosses over then beat the sh!t out of the pipe to pop out.
- driver side bottom MIDDLE manifold bolt hard to get to, shock bracket right under it perfectly in the way.

Hope installation goes smoother ha.

Sounds crazy man, I was gonna conquer the long tubes myself too now that i got them in. i was told you have to remoe the fender liners and fight with the install. So even I wasn't sure if its worth the hassle o doing myself. Let me know how it goes. Good luck bud.

I'm reminded of a famous quote from a profound artist of our time..

I found removing the stock crap the easiest part.

Have Fun!

Headers can be a pain to install sometimes, however the end result is well worth it

I bet i could pull the heads, attach headers to heads, slide header/head assembled back into place and have everything back together in like 5-6 hours maybe... But you would need to drain fluids and replace the head gaskets... It would be smart to install headers when you want to install a cam or even new heads to cut down on the time and frustration. I remember when i first install my ARH's like a few weeks after they cam out me and a buddy did it in like 8 hrs or so... And we ran into all kinds of problems...

Wish you lived closer! Need people like you for help ha! Sadly the hardest part was getting the dipstick out. We ended up getting it, but cut the bottom ear off that had the bolt in it. So its attached at the bracket that goes to the headers. All done though, drove it home but didnt play with it. Will test it today!
