Default Anyone Get The Apps?

The current rumor said Sept. 1 would be the day that the various music apps would land. Anyone get them? Negative for me.

Can I pick the next date? Lets go with February 2nd...if the groundhog sees his shadow then we will have to wait another 6 weeks.

I predict July 17, 2014 if and only if there is a snow storm in the southern states while a heard of elephants roams Chrysler's world headquarters.

And they want me to pay 20 bucks a month for their service when my 6 month trial is over. Ain't no way that is going to happen.

Yeah, I'd really only be interested in the stolen vehicle assistance and the 911/roadside assistance for when my family drives the car (not sure about $20/month, though). I certainly wouldn't pay that kind money for the apps, web-based remote start (and its 2-3 minute lag time), voice texting (which doesnt work with iPhone and apparently is hit or miss depending on the Android model), and Yelp. Honestly, at this point it is more the principle of the matter...I was promised apps and apps I shall have!

If they were smart they'd let all vehicles have access to the SRT Performance Pages. The coolness and "gee whiz" factor from that might be enough to sway me to continue after the trial expires.

I sent an email to Customer Support asking about the timeframe for the Via Mobile apps. Will update when I hear back.

As long as they don't make you pay for BLUETOOTH
it seems to me that you have everything that you really need
a Garmin mapping device with Lifetime map & Traffic is much cheaper then anything Ram has to offer & is every bit as good

If anyone has ever tried the Ram internet function, then you already know that BING & especially YELP suck eggs, (YELP only posts things like a Doctors Office that has either paid for the service or has a rating of 3 or more) when you need a Doctor quickly & are in secluded area, chances are that YELP will say that there is no Drs. for 200 miles, when there is a perfectly good one real close

I dont care about the apps because once the free trial is over I wont use it anymore. There is not one thing I would pay 20.00 a month for that my cell phone cant do. The remote start/locking is neat I guess but hardly worth 20.00 a month. Same with the SXM travel link, more useless stuff..

The bluetooth has nothing to do with the uconnect mess, just like onstar. I wonder if they are going to do what onstar does and the 911 will still be active without a subscription, I guess if they put a cell phone transceiver in a car it always has to work for 911 just like any regular cell phone.

I wish they'd have made the Yelp app more like it is on iPhone and Android. It appears the Uconnect programmers made a few cosmetic tweaks to the old Bing app and called it a day.

Near Anthony there is the
Great American Land & Cattle Company Steak House
close to the Wet & Wild water park

Texas Roadhouse is closer to the Barnett Harley Davidson store, & the Walmart Supercenter in El Paso

both have good steaks & service

I drove through there last Monday
going from Van Horn to San Diego that particular day, 812 miles
