Lightbulb 2013 headlights/taillights for my 2012

Just wondering if I was to order from MOPAR/dealer the new projector beam headlights and the new L.E.D taillights used on the 2013 Ram Trucks if they would fit my 2012 Ram? I love the factory look over what I have found thus far in the world of aftermarket, but I do notice that the front grill on the 2013's is shaped a bit different. Am I wasting my time and $$?

They physically fit with no issues. You'll need an adapter harness between the headlights because the '13 projectors run a single 14-pin harness and the '12s have twin 3-pin harnesses. Luckily there's a guy that makes these harnesses now and he even gets the headlamps at a much better price than you can get from the dealership. Get in touch with JJ from shop retro. I've done the swap myself building my own harnesses before JJ had his harnesses in production and his save you a LOT of money.

I'm not sure about the wiring for the tails, but I believe you just need resistors for the turn signals, but I haven't done the swap myself as I preferred the look of the Spyder smoked LED tails.

For the tails head on over to Mopar Parts Online, a vendor here, and look up the 2013 LED tails in their store. They sell the tails, instructions on what you need, and some pieces to the kit you want to make it plug and play.

I am running 13 headlights and tail lights on my 09 Ram. I also bought a connecting harness from JJ at the retroshop once he did a retrofit on my headlights.

If you go all the way and buy the 13 headlights from JJ and have him do an HID retrofit you will get something like this.

I run 5K 55W HID's.

Lows on a downhill:

Highs on the same downhill:

Cutoff:

Daytime. Ignore my fogs as those are retrofitted as well.

This is what the 13 tails look like with just the running lights on.

Where is all this at on that forum. I found the lights, but I ddint find any instructions or what's needed to install.

I was thinking about doing this since I found some sport lights cheap but after looking at a write up on the other forum. I would need almost another $100 in parts and it wouldnt be plug and play...

BTW,,, Sunburst orange FTW!!!!

Check out this link.

http://moparonlineparts.com/1500-tai...rt-p-3770.html

Click on instructions and there in the beginning they list all of the parts and websites you can go to, to get them. Getting these parts will make it plug and play.
