Default Justin's '13 Tradesman- A work tuck

I started this thread to document the "mods" I have done to my Ram. I dont know if I really call them mods, because this is a work truck. Most of it is to make the truck more functional as a mobile office/daily driver/working truck.

I work in Cellular/Telecom.

The first things that were done to the truck was the addition of the bed slide, fiberglass bed cover, and aluminum cage separating front seats from the rear. These were done before my truck was delivered.

After the truck was delivered, the first things I did was plastidip the wheels and add fender flares:

Then came the addition of some rear facing lights. I do a good bit of night work and these are a welcome addition. They are controlled by a Pilot 4 channel wireless controller mounted in the bed. Power is tapped into the trailer plug.

Next came a power station that is mounted to the cage behind the front seat. This provides constant power to all of my stuff- laptop, phones, etc.

Next came the backup camera. This was originally a tag mount wireless camera that was on my old work truck. I had it mounted high on an ARE topper.

I took the access panel off of the tailgate and discovered my handle had the spot for the factory camera, just the hole wasnt punched out. I drilled a hole the size I needed and used epoxy to hold the camera in place. The camera was obviously removed from the tag bracket. It transmits to a 3.5" display in my rear view mirror.

She looks good. My Tradesman is my daily driver and I couldn't be happier with it.
Mick
P.S. I wish mine came with those tires on it.

This is a windshield mount holder for my S3. I removed the rubber pad out of the little tray and drilled a hole for the USB cable. The cable runs behind the radio to the USB connector under it. And one small pilot hole through the mount into the tray for a single stainless screw that holds it together. Whenever I take this out, all of the holes will be hidden by the rubber pad.

Nice set up. I like the power station. You tapped the battery directly I assume?

I am glad it did. If you order it with OWL on/off road tires, they come with Silent Armors. Not sure why they are load range E though.

Yes, there is a #6 wire running directly to the battery. I lugged it to the factory stud after the larger fuse. Then it has its own 60a fuse.

Probably because it is designed specifically for being a work truck. The express is the base model for daily drivers.
