Default 5.7 Hemi MDS eco mode

Have 2013 Laramie 500 miles 5.7Hemi/8speed getting 16.5,mpg in city but have yet to see ECO mode show up in the EVIC. I have looked everywhere but can see no place to turn on.I have been told it is automatic. Not sure it's really necessary to know when the engine switches to 4 mode, just thought I would asked the great body of knowledge.Hate something I can't explain.

It is on. It will show up in green and say ECO. It has to be turned on in you settings on the radio screen.

The ECO light coming on doesn't necessarily mean you are now driving with the cylinder deactivation present.

I just found it yesterday. Not in the truck right now, but I believe it was under Settings, Display - then the very last option on the second screen when you scroll down.

Go into radio settings, then display, then turn on "fuel saver display in cluster"

This ^^^ is correct. Just because the ECO light is on or not doesn't mean MDS (4 cylinder mode) is on. They are two separate things.
