Default Radio / Electrical

This is my sons truck and he wanted to upgrad the radio to an aftermarket so he purchased the head unit and the special adapter needed for the install. I have installed several radios in my time but this one is quite challenging.

After we had everything hooked up and working the abs and brake light would come on accompanied with a dinging noise. We could not get this to stop so we installed the factory radio and is has no power. Aditionally, the door locks do not work. I checked all the fuses and they are fine, anyone have any ideas???

yea tell your boy he should have bought a power wagon. lol. when you put in the aftermarket head unit did you pull on any wires to get a little more wire out? perhaps unplugged something behind the dash by accident but didn't realize it? or pinch a couple wires and they are shorting out? you should trace the harness and any other harnesses that might be taped to it. at least thats where i would start. does he have the infinity sound system in his truck with the factory amp and sub?
