Default Options with 2013 exhaust?

I just about had a local shop swap the stock muffler with a Flowmaster 40 for $275 installed today, but decided against it to do some more research. I'm not quite sure if I've decided on a muffler yet. Unlike many, I like a little bit of drone on the highway. I want to be able to hear the exhaust but still want to be able to have a normal-tone conversation. I read where someone mentioned installing a X pipe after the cats, into the aftermarket muffler, and keeping the tail end of the exhaust the same with each factory resonator on each side before the exhaust tips. Can anyone tell me where I can find such X pipe and how much would one cost me? Something like this perhaps? http://www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com...rob-X-Pipe-Kit

My brother put a SLP Loudmouth resonator we had laying around the yard on his 04 Ram and it sounded amazing. Was louder than Magnaflow, but not too loud, and sounded great at WOT and cruising down the highway. I think that's close to what I want to do, put something similar to straight pipe, like a glass pack or maybe a Cherry bomb. Just want something louder than stock at idle & WOT, and has a deep muscle tone to it. Keeping exhaust manifolds, cats, and factory resonators. Any suggestions?

The factory setup uses a y-pipe after the cats. If you installed a x-pipe you would have to run another pipe into the muffler. I have the Borla XR-1 Sportsman muffler in my truck. Very deep muscle car sound to it. It may be what you are looking for. I have a thread about it with a sound clip.

Thanks for the input. I ended up with just swapping the muffler out with a Magnaflow 14" with everything else still the same. I had decided on that muffler without the resonators and new 18" exhaust tips, but they ordered the wrong tips. So far I like it. Not loud enough for me but it sounds really good.
