Default Removing some chrome from my 1500 Limited

First step is complete. I bought some mirrors with the painted black caps and swapped them on to my mirrors which had the chrome caps:

I dropped the grille off at the body shop at lunch today:

I'll post more pictures once I get the black grille on. I have a set of chrome power fold mirrors for sale if any one is looking for a pair.

Looks good. You need to get rid of the handles and tail light trim as well. I would go with the Sport grill.

I like a little chrome so it won't be a complete black out. I'm going to keep the Limited chrome mesh inserts in the grill. I do like the Sport projectors and tails better than the ones that come on the Laramies.

The mirrors look great, that's one of the things I didn`t like when I looked at the Limited

Looks great. I'm wanting to do the same thing to my mirrors. Did you just swap the caps and was it difficult. Need a how to.

I just swapped the caps. It's pretty easy and I didn't need to take the mirrors off my truck to do it. Here's the thread that shows how to do it:

Shop called and I picked the grill up at lunch today. That was some fast painting. Hopefully I'll have some time in the next couple of days to get it installed:

What did they charge you to have it painted if you don't mind me asking?

It was $175. Seemed pretty fair to me and they turned it around in a hurry.
