I am very sorry to hear about your trouble with your TLC system.

Murphy has been with you from the leaks to a blowout on vacation - that especially must not have been fun. I didn’t see this thread until today or I would have jumped on helping you last week.

I’m hoping you have the TLC system reinstalled and its working great for you.

Please let me know if I can assist.

So here it goes......installed new bags today. The updated design seems much better than prior revision. Had to install right angle rear axle vent in order to avoid hose interference with drivers air bag. Wasn't mandatory but did it to avoid risk. New design adds space between bag and coils as well as vertical stability so movement from left to right. Have couple ideas to improve even further. We shall see if they hold air......will keep you posted.

Guys here's the latest the install went well......not holding air. Called TLC, apparently they have new fittings to fit the oversized holes on the plates. Awaiting shipment. I will add goup and move forward with the hope they hold air.

bendodge has a spectacular aura aboutbendodge has a spectacular aura about
Default TLC problems

TLC needs to post some pictures of this "new design" and some detailed fixes for the leak issue. My bags leaked also, I replaced/resealed some fittings at my own expense . I think I have that fixed but now I read about the melted bag problem and I get a little nervous. The tension on my EQ hitch is set with a specific amount of air in the bags so if one blows the load on the EQ changes. I have used firestone air bags on all my previous trucks and on one of our FD rescuce rigs with no problems, but they do not make a kit for the new Ram so I purchased TLC because they are the only one that is not 'in coil" design. I have had a lot of problems with blown in coil bags on customers motorhomes so this is why I made the TLC choice. I hope I do not regret this choice in the future.

My TLC system is holding air, and has been for a year. I have to add air like once a month, and only a few lbs.

Thread tape is needed for the install, make sure the cuts on your hoses are straight, not angled. Check for leaks with soapy water spray after install.

They should automatically come with bags that have tape on the valves and tested. Or at the very least indicated in the instructions to pull off valves and tape them before installing. Sort of a bitch to have to pull them off and tape them, then reinstall them. Some people don't have lifts and need to do this on the ground in there driveway.
