Default Possessed 2010 Dodge ram

Hey everyone, so I'm new here and looking for any help anyone can proved. So my dad has a 2010 dodge ram 1500 with the 5.7L hemi. Today we were having his windows tinted and as we were getting ready to leave he turned the truck on and everything started going crazy. His windshield wipers turned on by themselves, all his lights on his gauge cluster turned on (check engine light, TPMS, etc.), and his gas gauge dropped down and it said he was empty even though it was almost a full tank. Me and my dad are pretty good when it comes to mechanical stuff but when it comes to electrical stuff we are at a loss. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? Or does this truck just need a good exorcism lol. Thanks for any help guys.

Check battery to ensure its firmly connected. That would be a start. A loose or otherwise corroded connection can make electronics do hinky things.

Yea we tried that. Also the windows wouldn't roll up or down, radio wouldn't work. And now he just went out to put some tool in his truck and it now wont lock. We are at a complete loss. Thanks for the help. Any other ideas?

Kind of weird that everything was working fine before you took it in to get the windows tinted... Could they have possibly messed up your truck? I'd look into it

I read in a different thread thy these trucks go into limp mode if something happens out of the usual. And the windshield wipers turn on just in case you're driving in the rain, ect...

I agree. It sounds to me like it went into limp mode. How long were the doors open? Did they go to lunch in the middle of the tint?

If there was a severe battery drain because they were busy shooting rubber bands at each other the truck may have inadvertently suspected a power fault and put it's hands up to defend itself.

I just hope there was no damage to the FCM.
