Default trailer for towing

I don't know if I am posting in the correct area. I have a 2012 Ram 1500 CC with the Hemi. I have a class IV hitch on it. I need to tow my 06 AWD Pathfinder from Central Texas to Chattanooga TN. What trailer rental place do you guys recommend?

good luck, the last time I tried to haul a vehicle ('00 durango) with my 3500, UHaul would not rent me a trailer since according to them "my truck isn't big enough"!
don't tell them what you are hauling or you won't be able to rent one.
But at the same time you are probably going to be overweight.

Rent a car trailer from Uhaul or Ryder they have the trailer you need. do a Google search to see who is closer to you.
you connect it to you truck then ride the other one up on it and secure it. Good to go.
They are called Auto transport Trailers. see the link hope this helps you out give us a heads up on your solution

I tried Uhaul but their trailer is too small for the weight of my Pathfinder. I can't flat tow the Pathfinder because its AWD unless I pull drive shafts off from it. I haven't tried Ryder yet.

The u haul trailer can handle 5200 pounds and you pathfinder weighs about 5000. So you should be good to go.

Uhaul said no, my RAM is equipped with a class IV hitch so it can easily pull 9000 lbs. But I guess the weight of the Pathfinder and the trailer will be too much for the coupler on the trailer.

That makes no sence as they say on their website the weight the trailer can handle. I would rent one and not tell them what you are putting on it and if they ask just say a small car of some sort.

The last I checked, a 2006 OffRoad 4x4 V6 Pathfinder had a curb weight of 4373lbs. Your UHaul guys don't know their trailers bud. Bunch of rookies I tell ya. Even their Auto Transport Rental website under vehicle requirements clearly indicate your Ram is more than capable.
