Default Production scheduling mystery solved!

Yesterday I got my email from DODGE telling me my 2014 1500 was "scheduled for production"...of course, the actual date is a state secret...TODAY, first thing in the AM, I received ANOTHER email..Ill quote the relevant parts... "Your new Ram Truck is scheduled for production, Your vehicle may reside in this status for up to two weeks as the production line is prepared for assembly...We will contact you next when your vehicle moves to frame status. At that point, you can anticipate your vehicle will move quickly through the next few stages of build."

Make of it what you will.....

That is the standard, and infamous "production scheduled" email. Guys ordering 13's frequently had to wait months after getting that email before anything else happened. I got that email 10 weeks ago, nothing since, my truck has not been started yet.

Your dealer can see a bit more info when they log in, if they are willing to share. The sales manager had me sit at his computer and look for myself. There is a section for "future" events, that shows when it should actually be built, shipped and delivered. Last week, mine showed a "future" projected build date, of, get this, 6/22! This on about 7/10.

In other words, the dealer was getting as much total bull crap info out of Ram as I was and neither one of us actually knows a dang thing...

But I hope that is all in the past and your '14 order goes much smoother!

I got the same email this morning. My dealer has said from day one first week of August however last week they changed course and said the end of August first of September. People keep posting on here about not to expect a 14 until Septemebr and beyond everytime someone seems to get there hopes up and that may be true but I find it hard to believe Dodge is not going to move fast on this with Chevy already releasing there new design

I've seen the new Chevy pick-ups, we had one here at work for a few days (I work for a tier one supplier) and believe me, the new GM pick-ups are not even close to the RAM and barely are up to the current F150s if that.

I got this email on July 12. I'll post when mine moves to next stage.

Couldnt resist....drove into town and spoke to the sales mgr...yes, they DO have "additional info", and yes, he swiveled the screen so I could see it myself....my build is scheduled for 8/6!, allow a "few shifts" (mebbe 18 actual hours) and a week to ship it, and I should have it mid Aug!....mebbe...mebbe not, based on what other folks have said re all this...we shall see.....

BTW, he explained that although the time for ORDERING a 13 is past, theyre still filling orders they had backed up, and he had a few........only reason I even brought it up with him was because of a comment in here...I was curious too.....

I agree, the emails create more questions than they answer.

I understand that Dodge is attempting to personalize the order build process but they have much work to do to make the reporting system useful. Right now, it is an enigma.
