You're totally screwed, Dood! The flux capacitor will not achieve enough... ok, I'll stop there.
How about a picture of it. Sounds like an engine ground, though. Is everything working? What, exactly, is the attached end attached to?

DOC! You forgot to ask him if he can tell if it goes to the positive or the negative side of the battery!

Great Scott! does it have power? Is it the trigger wire for the starter?

Hey, ah, kornflakes... I'm sorry, jfreakofkorn. Can you tell if it goes to the positive or the negative side of the battery? Does it have power? Is it the trigger wire for the starter?

Phew... I feel so much better now. Gonna have a good night's sleep tonight!

Thanks for the laugh, Drew!

Photo 2, post #5 looks like it's going down to the eyelet for the engine ground (see below) and back up to the power distribution center under the hook completing the engine/body ground.

Photo 3, Post #5 Looks to me like it's coming off the BLACK/negative side of the battery and would be an engine ground mounted on one of the starter mounting bolts.

Photo 1, post #9 looks like the oil pressure switch.
