Default RAM bites owner and wife!

First it was my wife. After leaving the driveway with her arm resting on the door with the window open, the auto door locks locked, pinching her. She yelped and jumped in surprise, and told me what happened. I just chuckled and thought nothing of it, despite her protestations that it really hurt. Well, today it happened to me, and startled me pretty good. Its a nasty little pinch and it actually left a little black and blue mark. Anyone else have this happen? It appears to just drag your skin down into the close fitting escutcheon or whatever that ring is around the lock post.
Ive also been pinched pretty good by the door handle too, opening it from the inside holding the rear portion of the latch, it pinched me in the seam of the hinged portion. I guess I'm just a weenie but I don't like my RAM biting me all the time!

LOL ...sorry but had to laugh. I had a picture of a Ram (sheep) biting owners.

No I have never had that happen. You can set it so your doors don't lock automaticly

This has happened to my wife in the passenger seat countless times. I purposely do it to my passengers now. It's awesome. Haven't had it happen to me but apparently it hurts like a bitch!

I have had it happen a few times. Eventually you learn to wait till the doors lock or adjust where you rest your arm.

That's funny but I can imagine that would leave a mark, good thing I don't rest my arm up there.

I've had several cars and trucks that would always give me a static shock when I left the vehicle. One was so bad that I've trained myself without even thinking twice to always hold onto the top of my door or anyone's door when leaving the vehicle. I still do it to this day.

That reminds of my wife's 97 Grand Cherokee. I swear that thing hated me. I would get electrocuted all the time. Holy shit that would hurt.

Yes. It's called "rolling door locks" and your dealer can program them out. I had my dealer do this before it left the lot.

Good title, got my wondering wtf it was about. Lol.

But to answer your question, no it hasn't happened to anyone in my rams, although I do know what your talking about. I've road in trucks that do it and even when I know IG, I still seem to sit my arm nthe same spot EVERY DAMN TIME.
