Well old spark plugs.............I saw GASOLINE and non-ethanol and brain locked up and said outloud "why not here"????????
You will "lose" MPG. I hope your ECU will keep the HEMI happy...but I doubt it.
Etha-crud, our tax funded dollars at work.

Personally I think he'll loose a few ticks. Not a lot mind you, but definately some loss of fuel economy/power. My brother runs E85 in all his vehicles and states a 2-5 MPG decrease, granted that's in mostly 4 cyl vehicles. And yes E85 isn't 10% ethanol...

Anyone else?
missread initial post, thought he was going from ethanol to reg gas, you are correct, he will loose mpg.

All I know is that my Chrysler 200 convertible has the E85 option so I looked into it one day.

E85 is cheaper, but you get less milage.

Regular gas is more expensive, but you get better milage.

In the end, they both likely work out to be the same. The only thing that would be different in my opinion would be the ride.

I never ran the E85 in it, partly because I don't think there is one station within a million and a half miles of me, and partly because I just didn't trust the effect it would have on my car.

Not to mention the damage that the ethanol can/will cause to your engine. If you got a minute, HERE'S a good read on in.

Great article.

So the secrete to keeping this bad gas from making it to our gas stations, is to have a global effort to eat more corn!

The more corn we eat, the less of a demand will be put on the fuel industry. LOL.....

Ethanol is garbage IMO, especially when you look at what it takes to produce it.

Basically it takes more gasoline/diesel to produce equivialent units of Ethanol. I've heard it's as bad as 3-5 gallons of dinosaurs to 1 gallon of corn. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...5125442AAFUoDE

It's on the internet so it HAS to be true, right? Regardless, the numbers don't look to good for "E".

Now natural gas <CNG> on the other hand sounds much more interesting! Sure, you don't get as much power or fuel economy with it, but it's WAY cheaper and burns MUCH cleaner than Gasoline/Diesel. And if you have gas in your home, you can set up a fueling station right in your own garage!

Okay I know it's irrelevant, but I hate when I go back and read one of my posts and notice an obvious spelling error!

Clearly I meant to say secret and not secrete!

Just wanted to say thanks for not pointing it out! LOL......
