Default ball joint tool

Is there any other tool I can use to remove the ball joint other than the socket. I don't wanna pay $80 for a tool ill use once. Will a large wrench work?

can't you rent tools like that from your local parts store? you just pay a deposit and you get it back once you return it.

By the way, welcome to the Forum. be sure to stop by the newbie check in section to introduce yourself

I tried to rent it but. advanced and autozone don't carry it. I found it at napa for $80 and they don't rent tools. I was wondering if I could get a large wrench and take it off

a wrench would most likely stretch. you really need a socket or something that should not stretch.
