It lets you lock/unlock your doors, start the engine and honk the horn (panic alarm) from your phone. I believe it will also send you an alarm notification if the alarm goes off. It also managed to fully drain my phone battery in an hour by taking 100% of CPU load when I was not even using it. I uninstalled it because of that issue.

The remote start feature would be nice in winter if you cannot be in key fob range of your truck. No way will I pay $20 a month for the uconnect Access package after my trial expires though just for that feature. It would need many more options to make it worthwhile. I would like to see window control - when it starts raining and I realize I left the windows down I would not have to run out to the truck. I could also open them 10 minutes before leaving to vent heat, yet not waste gas on remote start and AC.

Vehicle diagnostics would also be nice. If my tire goes flat at 10:00 PM, it would be nice to get a notification then vs. a surprise in the morning.

I haven't heard many compliments of the uConnect system. Even its response times for starting the car are apparently awful. I currently have the viper smart start on my Infiniti and love it. I paid $120 for 3 years of service. Granted I did not opt for every feature and had to pay for the hardware and installation. When I ordered my 13 Ram I was hoping for similar performance from uConnect. Thankfully that order fell through because of a shady dealer. I'm placing an order for a 2014 Sport/CC/4x4 this week. I'm hoping the extra development time will provide me with one of the updated head units and a further revised version of the uConnect software that works as advertised. If not I'm hoping the smart start system can utilize the 3G cellular hardware that's already in the truck. Having a true remote start feature is extremely useful in the Vegas summer heat.
