Default Weekend Activities

Finally got around to dipping my front bumper and nerf bars. Nurf bars came out great... front bumper is OK, but I'll probably end up redoing it in the near future.

Also got around to installing a catch can. It's a Craftman, yeah I know, not real fancy, but not real expensive either. Total mod only cost me about $40 bucks. Finding a place to put it was the real PITA. Still haven't found a permanent location for it, but where it sits will do for now. Once the Catch can was in, I gave it a Seafoam treatment as well.

Did a little experimental dipping with my engine cover. It came out pretty good. It's Blaze Dip with some Pearlizer - pretty close to Mopar Blue. But I know I can do better, so I see another project in my future.

Decided to experiment with my rear bumper because when I went to Home Depot to get some more black Plasti-Dip, I saw they had white in the rattle can as well. So I sprayed some on the corner and let it set overnight to see how well it matched my paint... and it did. So, today, I dipped the whole bumper and... well here's the pic of it. Looks good in the pic, but in person, it's off by just that much. Just enough to make it look cheap and look like it's a second rate job. So, I'll take it to work like that and see what the guys think, but pretty sure that it's gonna get peeled and black dip applied.

Nice job!

I really like the black letters on the white background.

The white bumper doesn't look bad at all, but you can see it close up and we can't.

I don't think that going the black route would be a bad option, so if you aren't happy with it then just do it.

I keep seeing people talk about this plasti-dip stuff, so I think I am going to get a can and play around just for the fun of it.

I see you also had a bit of cheap labour there helping you too!! Hahahahahaha.....

Thanks, Red! Plasti-Dip is da bomb! If you screw up or just don't like it, peel it off and start over.
Cheap labor indeed. 'Cept he wanted to be where I was at and do what I was doing. Now I know how my Dad felt when I was always in his way... ah hem... I mean, helping him out.

Thank you, master! You have taught me well. I reckon I'm gonna have to start a thread and piece everything together just to have a running thread with all my mods.

Got my new WT rear window visor in on Friday to replace the broken one and got in installed today.

Also put a couple of spikes on my hood with some dip. A friend told me I should widen them. That's the great thing about Plasti-Dip, I can always change it up.

Speaking of Plasti-Dip, the Home Depot down in my neighborhood is now carrying a variety of colors. Dipping is getting very popular. Glad it's only $6 bucks a can.

No the stripes look good.

I just stopped of at a local hardware store here in Toronto to pick up a can of that stuff, however our price isn't anywhere near as good as your price.

It cost me $19.99.

I sprayed the centre ring console in my truck, and after I put on my third coat I left it to dry. When I came back a little while later I found a dog footprint on it.

We had family come around, and I wasn't thinking that they would let the dog in the garage.

Oh well, just peel it off and start again........well maybe tomorrow! LOL......

DOH! Can't believe that stuff is so expensive up there. Someone is making a nice little profit.

Dog print, eh? Well, I reckon it's better than a pile of poo.
