Intermittent stall when coming to idle
My 5.7 Ram is stalling when I come to a stop.
It is intermittent and by that I mean once in a blue moon.
Once I spoke with my indy mech he informed me to not only turn the key to off before restarting but to remove it and wait 30 seconds for the computer to reboot and it will likely go away.
A friend said his Dodge needed the throttle valve position sensor changed regularly and/or the idle control valve.
Now that made sense so I had that changed except on the 04 it is a complete module and ran me $375.00 total.
A week later it did it again, just one time, remove key and has not done it again, yet
Nothing showed up on a scan.
Has anyone run into this problem?
I am sure the local dealer would love me to hand them my wallet and play with it but I am hoping this is a known occurrence and a remedy is available at a reasonable price.
I love the truck.
It was completely redone mechanically right before I bought it so drives great.
Any ideas would be appreciated
