Default Replacement of LED tail lights

I know it is a stupid question but why do I need to see a dealer to replace/repair my led tail lights on my 2013 Longhorn per owners manual ? I never go to dealer except in an extreme warranty situation.

Because the uranium P 238 in them is very hazardous to human kind...

Yeah, I would consider that non-extreme too. No, not the uranium P 238, the part about having to take the truck to a dealer to change a bulb. That's just silly talk.

I would guess that it's because they are LED. Being that, if one goes out, it's not just a simple: pull the light, replace the bulb, put light back. There is a lot of wiring that goes into those lights and most people will just mess it up more than it already is.
That and $$$$$$. Those dealers are some money hungry SOB's lol
