Default Back button

Anyone know what the "back" button on the right side of the hazard button is for? It's not identified in the owners manual and I've had no luck getting a answer from the dealer.

If you don't want to use the touchscreen, you can use the dial to the right to scroll through the screen options, then press the button in the center of that dial to make the selection. The back button takes you to the previous menu. I have found it a little easier to scroll through song selections using the dial instead of the touchscreen.

This. I hate when I'm trying to adjust something on the touch screen and going over a bump in the road makes my finger hit something else.
