Default Whining noise

Sounds like a power steering pump out of fluid, everything look fine more you rev the engine the more you hear it. Anyone else have this problem on 09 ram sport, with hemi.
Thanks

yes , it was the idler pulley . it costs about 11.00$ ---15.00$-- at Napa, and is super easy to change out, I have replaced 4 on some friends trucks so far.

It is not the tensioner pulley, it is the idler pulley..you dont have to pull off the belt, if a friend holds the tension off of the belt with a tool, you can remove the bolt and swap it out.

My 09 5.9 makes a whine in reverse which increases with engine speed. Think it could also be the idler pulley?

Also...a clunking sound comes from the rear body when the truck is torqued as when turning into an uneven driveway at slow speed. I changed the shocks and installed a tailgate hinge kit and it's better but not completely eliminated.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Default clunking in rear of truck...

Yes, could you elaborate please? I also hear the noise when driving slowly such as in a driveway...and frequently while turning corners at slow speed on city streets. It can't be good. It sounds just like the exhaust system is moving and hitting something but that appears to be solid and moves only when the hangers allow it some leeway.
