Default Which model to Buy

Hi all Newbie here.

after a quad cab, but unsure which model is best to buy, running cost wise.

Its either going to be a 5.7 hemi LPG or a diesel.

what mpg are you getting and whats the main pro's and cons with both?

Also can you use a predator with the 5.7 on lpg

sorry for all the questions

I cannot even conceive of buying a truck that size with any engine other than diesel. It seems the new ones do not get the fuel mileage that my 1998.5 does (18-20 mpg), but they should still do better than a gasoline engine & certainly more than with LPG.

And comparing my truck to the V-10 models that were available when I bought mine new, the V-10 will win in a drag race with no load, but there's no contest with a real heavy load or towing either. I've run down the road pulling a travel trailer weighing almost 10,000 lbs. with the AC & cruise control on & the speed never varied more than 1 mph. Same with 3500 lbs. of stone in the truck bed & towing my 16' utility trailer with John Deere tractor & implements (7500 lbs.) @ the same time. Worst mileage I ever got (towing, in Colorado) was 15.6 & I've got 1/2 again as much torque as the Hemi. Torque's what gets you going, not HP.

Red face

Hi, I run a cummins diesel (2004 24v)here in the uk and have to say its one of the best engines I've ever had! I've had more V8's than I can remember, but the fantastic torque and sound of this cummins beats them hands down!
The tuning is endless if you're into that sorta thing and cheaper than trying to get more power from the v8.
I've currently got a predator and puck with 4" pipe and k+n full intake on mine, which made a major power increase (need upgraded clutch now)yet delivers better economy. (22.3mpg on a run, empty)
Fuel usage isn't really an issue for me, but was supprised at what I am getting for such a big vehicle. (Dually 3500)
Anyway, too much chat- buy a cummins! You won't regret it.
P.s welcome. Hopefully there'll be more chat on this uk branch....

Default 2010 wheels

I know this is not the "for sale section" but as this is the UK bit i'm hoping you'll see my reasoning.

I'm getting a new set of Diamo 20" 17 karat rims and tyre's (35's) around feb-march, hence i'll have a set of 2010 wheels and tyres off a Laramie for sale if anyone is interested and open to sensible offers.....
