Unhappy tapping sound in heater/ AC area

I just got a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, SLT Crew Cab. Here are the symptoms: every time I start the truck, regardless of the position of the ac/heater control knobs, a tapping sound comes from the center console area, behind the control knobs, it goes on for about a minute and then stops. Also, I do not have heat coming out of the vents when I move the round control knob to the hottest position. Anybody had a problem with the heating/AC system in a 09 1500? please help, any ideas will be greatly appreciated: box2:

Default

I belive that is an actuator gone bad for the blend doors. When the nylon teeth strip it makes that noise. Not sure if that's your problem, but I think its right.

Default tapping sound.....

Thank you, Medic and Ramzag, the link was very helpful to remove the bezel around the radio, specially the pictures. I will post a progress report if I can get it fixed on my own.
