I'll be looking into it this weekend. It's definitely the passenger side. After some research I have some good ideas of where it might be coming from, so I will check those things out first.

I need a wind tunnel!

How do you like the air bags? I was thinking of getting them, cheaper that the factory air suspension.

Well, I surprised myself when I traded in my F150 towards a Ram truck. I've never actually considered a Chrysler vehicle of any kind until now. I compared the big three side by side at a mega-dealer that carries all of them in one lot. This was one of those things where I read about the new tech in the new trucks (Pentastar for Ram and the Ecotec3 for GMC/Chevy) and wanted to check it out. I wasn't actually going in to buy, but things happen.

The price point and what the Ram trucks included that others didn't at a comparable price was a major factor. The test ride sealed the deal.

Well, after one wee I do not regret my decision. So, I thought I'd post my impressions after a full week in the new truck.

Comfort: Seats are on par with my F150(XLT) which is good. The quietness of the cabin is better in the Ram. They dash/instrument layout is quite nice and everything is easy to read/reach. Also nice are the rear AC vents for the passengers. Something that only comes with higher trim levels in the F150 line). It's a nice inclusion that makes a big difference in passenger comfort on these hot Texas days!

Engine/Transmission: Not even close here. I had the 3.7L V6 (not the EcoBoost) with 6 spd auto in my F150. The new Pentastar V6 with the 8 spd and 3.55 gearing has it all over the Ford. Silky smooth shifts, nice power delivery and much better gas mileage. I averaged 16.7 mpg per tank in the F150. My first tank in the Ram was 18.8 mpg. When you have a long commute like I do every mile counts! My daily commute is 35 miles each way and a mix of city/highway.

Fit and Finish: Very good. While Flame Red was not my first color choice, it's quite striking. Love the fact that Ram trucks come with wheel well liners (Ford will gladly sell them to you as an accessory ).

I only have a couple of minor issues here. One is my center console lid...it rattles. I also have a mysterious whistle coming from the passenger side of the truck. Can't seem to figure out what is causing it, only occurs at highway speeds, so I guess wind is whipping through something and causing the whistle. Other than that I am very happy with the switch.

I don't plan on changing/adding much. I have nerf bars on the way and will be installing Air Ride bags this weekend as well as the brake controller I had in my F150. As soon as I sell the Bakflip I had on my F150 I'll be getting a bed cover and that will probably do it....for now...

I can only compare them to the bags on my F150 (Firestone branded). The low price point and ease of installation sealed the deal for me, I was not sure if i wanted to add them at first.

After installing I pumped them up to 35psi to check for leaks and then lowered them a bit to 30 psi and drove around. Surprisingly, the ride was not as harsh as expected (30 psi on my F150 turned the rear suspension rock hard). Driving around with the recommended minimum feels like they aren't there at all.

I use a weight distribution hitch when I tow, and the bags will just supplement that.

tweak89 It looks like you have chromed 20" wheels on your truck. I and some others have tried to fgiure out how to get 20" wheels period. Arietem got sales code WRE which was a $1400 option. Did your wheels come standard with the Big Horn package or was there an adder?

They came along with the Big Horn package. Although I generally hate chrome CLAD wheels, these are some of the best looking stock wheels on any truck, IMO.

Hmm, very curious this is. Even though the Big Horn package lists 20" wheels, all of them that I have seen or looked for do not have them on. I even have a buddy that works for Chrysler purchasing and he put me to the guy that is the wheel buyer and the conclusion was they did not think you could get the 20" wheels without buyignthe slaes code "WRE" which is the painted 20" wheels which are okay at best.

I wonder if there was a availability issue with those wheels. Anyway, changes my mind of buying a new (off vehicle) set from Ebay or something. I guess I have to roll the dice that Chrysler will build what they say the Big Horn package comes with.

Well count2 keep us in the loop as to what comes on the truck. I am a little ways off from ordering mine so maybe this issue is flushed by then.

Anyone else out there have a v6 with Big Horn and got the chrome clad 20" wheels?
