Default i rememeber when i thought a little paint chip was a big deal, HAH!!!!

time for the body shop, well here it is, open up garage to leave, heard it make a funny sound, did not think anything of it went to leave and SCRAAAAAAPE. dammit I knew right what it was. door did not retract all the way. bolt in door bottom even gouged the metal on the roof. my garage was built in the 80s so the opening is not very tall (ram barely fits). funny thing is door is working just fine now. got accident forgiveness and 0 deductible through my insurance, so the only thing that got hurt is my pride. besides the paint will probably be better than it was from the factory with all the orange peel . oh well gotta play the hand your dealt sometimes.

There are just a certain number of sounds that we seem to develop ESP with, and damage to the truck is inevitably one of them. Isn't it odd how you know exactly what, where, and why the sound occurred?

Ouch, that sucks. I have mine in the garage as well and don't have allot of clearance. I can only imagine how you felt.

I've put mine in my garage a few times with no problems....until the last time, I thought I was all the way in, hit the opener to close the garage door and it came down and hit the top of my bed. As the garage door was not set properly, it did not retract, kept trying to go down. After I got it to stop and pulled my truck out, noticed I totally screwed up the door and broke some of the windows. Had to almost get a new door but found someone that would replace just the broken parts etc...
Since then, my wife will not let me park in the garage.

I said the f word 3 times then went on my merry way. the bright side is that its on the roof so I don't have to look at it every time I get in the truck. the funny thing is before I bought the truck I told the salesmen I would have to take it home and check for clearance and cleared only by about 3/4 of an inch. it would have been nice to at least have the truck for more than a year. maybe I will rip the garage down with my ram and build a new one ha ha haaaah. anywaz thanks for all the stories, they make me realize my problems aint that big afterall. im grateful that I can afford to own such a nice truck, and to have good insurance to boot

You only said the "F" word THREE times?!? Oh well, you said it about being lucky enough to own such a great truck! They'll fix it up like new for you. And..... you will forever look at the garage door 15 times before pulling out!!!

amen to that brother. 767.00 worth of damage, but I have accident forgiveness and 0 deductible thru allstate so no rate increase and no money out of my pocket. just have to make sure no more booboos for a while till I can get those perks thru my insurance built up.
