Default Lumbar & Mirror Puddle Light

So I finally got around to bringing the truck in to the dealer to look at the Power Lumbar in the drivers seat today. As I left the house I hit the unlock and noticed that the passenger side mirror did not flash, so I mentioned it to the service manager and asked him if he could show me how to change the bulb. According to the dealer, they are going to have to replace the whole mirror under warranty as the bulb(s) cannot be replaced. I looked and could not see any fasteners to get in to the mirror. They are also replacing the whole seat under the fabric to repair the lumbar.

On a side note, he mentioned that in the 2013's that if the LED light clusters fail it requires a whole new light assembly on the rear tail lights.

Seems crazy to replace a whole mirror for a few bulbs.

I've had my puddle lights go out on my 2010 and they have been popped out and replaced.

How did you pop them out? I could not see any clips or areas to give them a push in order to pop them out.

Unbelieveable they want to replace the entire mirror. When the trucks first came out, that was the case, but the LED replacement lights have been available separately for quite some time. They are even listed on parts sites and Ebay.

I had the power lumbar and passenger side puddle light fixed under warranty. Dealer replaced the bag and motor for the power lumbar. They changed the puddle light module. No need for a new mirror or any other parts for the seat. 2012 ram sport.

The Service Manager went and spoke to the Parts dept. who told him they need a whole new mirror.
The same happened with our 2010 GC, the lumbar broke and they replaced the whole seat.......I seen them do it as I waited, I could not believe that the motor and bag would not just be replaced. They told me it was $2000 for a new seat, but it was under warranty.

I just read your post on this thread, I am going to print it out and bring it in when the dealer calls me next week to bring it in. I'll let you know what they say.

Just back from the dealer, I have to go back for the lumbar as the wrong part was shipped, but they did replace the whole mirror under warranty. I seen online how to remove them, and that you can buy them separately but they replaced the whole mirror assembly. Puddle lights work now
