I got my email today and it showed up in VOTS. Its in Production Scheduled. It still shows as Black even though the dealer changed it to True Blue, but with all the stories of how VOTS is normally a few days behind, I am not worried....

I believe the glass (mirror) adjustment in the towing mirrors are electric but the folding mechanism is still manual. Don't order the tow group option if you want the power folding mirrors. The truck comes standard on the 14's with the class IV hitch and the tow group gets you the trailer tow mirrors and the trailer brake controller. When you add up the cost of tow group option ($330.00), it comes out the same as if you ordered the mirrors and trailer brake controller separately on a 2013 model. I 'm still waiting to hear if I can order the trailer brake controller by itself on the 14 instead of the whole group. If not, has anyone heard if it is possible to add the factory trailer brake controller at the dealership? SM

My dealer is working on deleting the towing package from my order so I don't get the trailer mirrors, but in the process he did mention that you can add the trailer brake option later by just having them order the parts and do the install at the dealer.

Of course, he also told me that I didn't have the trailer mirrors on my order until I pointed out that I had the tow group and that the trailer mirrors came with the tow group, so who knows if he knows WTF he is talking about.

I ordered the brake controller but NOT the towing package. You can get it separately.

When I ordered mine, the brake controller, towing hitch and towing mirrors were all seperate options. Interestingly enough when I ordered mine the dealer said the spray in bedliner and brake controller were bundled as one with the Longhorn. When mine gets here in the next week or so I'll know for sure. If it has the big ass towing mirrors and not the power fold, they'll be keeping it as getting it into my garage with out power fold will be a real PITA!

You can order a build sheet before the truck is built?

Hell yes..I cant remember the EXACT sequence of events, but i ordered my "first one" within a week of it turning up on VOTS.....they sent the first copy via email, then i got a snail mail copy about 3 weeks later....it just so happened i was in the middle of a "computer glitch" re the description of my vehicle...VOTS said one thing, the build sheet said the correct thing...and a kind soul in here straightened it out for me...but...go for it!!!!
