Same here. Maybe Dodge is triple coating the paint to eliminate chipping. Why don't they just dip the entire truck and be done with it.

I can remember my grandfather telling stories of how guys used to paint their cars and trucks during the great depression (not Obama's but in the 1930').
No one could afford a spray job so folks learned how to expertly paint with a brush! He said that the best brush jobs had the least amount of brush marks and some talented painters could work the paint fast so there were no brush marks at all.

Just for pure entertainment I wished someone on here worked at the plant and could quietly come back to us and same here is where your truck is and here is where your is. We might all get a laugh and maybe they are setting in the storage yard and have been for weeks waiting to be shipped.

You guys getting your trucks built now better keep your fingers crossed, until it gets on a rail truck! There's been to many cases where Ram pulls these trucks, especially the early builds, and puts them in storage... They say it's a 100 point inspection; I say it's just lost because some of them are stuck there for months!

My VOTS status today is final inspection but my dealer said, and this is as of Monday, that his system says my status was JS, "Just shipped." I'm hoping since the changes between 2013 and 2014 were so minimal that the JS is more accurate than the "final inspection".

You might want to talk to your dealer again ... He's making stuff up....
JS is shipped to storage.. It doesn't get shipped, until it gets released from the factory... You want to see a status code that starts with 'K'.

Built:
I - unit built, pending final inspection
J - vehicle passed final inspection but not released to carrier
JB - shipped to body vendor
JE - shipped to emissions
JJ - consigned to body vendor
JS - shipped to storage
KZ - released by plant and invoiced
Traffic Codes:
KZ L - released but not shipped
KZ M - first rail departure
KZ N - first rail arrival
KZ O - delayed/received
KZ OA - plant hold, quality audit
KZ OB - zone, dealer, sales, vehicle prep, tax, diversion or derailment hold, dealer refusal, vehicle diverted
KZ OC - carrier delay, strike-bound, emission or safety hold, rail car shortage, bad or insufficient load, inclement weather, need shipping order, manifest error
KZ OD - mechanical failure, glass damage, vehicle in repair, lacking parts or storage hold
KZ OE - misdropped or misshipped vehicle
KZ OF - shipped air freight, stolen vehicle recovered, show vehicle, test info code, vessel sailed
KZ OG - damaged vehicle, stolen vehicle, abandon to carrier, vehicle scrapped, donate vehicle, repair and auction
KZ OH - all other "O" type carrier codes
KZ T - second rail departure
KZ U - second rail arrival
KZ X - delivered to dealer
KZ Y1 - major damage - must not be sold as new
KZ Y2 - major damage - vehicle sold at auction

"Shipped to storage" LOL this whole 2014 thing is kind of like a bad strip club. Alot of arousal with no happy ending.

I'm trying to be optimistic and interpret "shipped to storage" as meaning it's sitting in a railyard waiting to get put on a train.
