U can get a Diesel AND a 3/4 ton truck for just $3,500 more than a wimpy 1/2 ton!!! U are totally insane if U don't get the 2500 period!

I switched from half tons to a 3/4 ton Cummins about 2 years ago. I love the truck but don't really need it. There have been times I've abused my half tons, like hauling water to my swimming pool with a water tank in the bed that weighs over 2000lbs was one reason I wanted a 3/4 ton.

To be honest, a 3/4 ton with a Cummins will tow a lot more than a 1/2 ton, but depending on how they are equipped, they won't haul more weight in the bed. The truth is, if you are going to overload one, the 3/4 ton will take it a lot better. Just look at the axles, brakes, springs etc and they are much stouter.

For only $3500 more, it's well worth it to go diesel. Resale value will be much higher as well. Diesel is only $0.20 higher than regular unleaded here, and you will get better mileage towing, and about the same empty.

if the 5.9 was available, there would be no question about which way to go. with the 6.7, and all the epa add ons, you would be better off with the hemi.

How does that even make sense?? Even if a 5.9 was available it would still have all the same emissions stuff as the new 6.7's do. And even at that... a Cummins is still going to pull 10 times better and get better fuel mileage then a hemi.
