no brad. they dc the 5.9 because they couldn't get it to meet the new epa requirements so it wouldn't have all the epa crap that the 6.7 has. 5000 miles a year sounds like it is going to sit a lot, what do the 6.7 ownerss say about that and short trips around town. just for the record, i was driving diesels long before you were tall enough to get in a 3500.

So you essentially proved my point.... If a 5.9 was around it would have all the emissions stuff. Plain and simple. It's not around because it can't meet that...

He said 5000 miles a year which is not a lot but he also said he will be towing and going on trips with it often. Sounds like long trips not short ones to me... So once again, your point is invalid.

My age has absolutely nothing to do with it. Good for you being able to drive a diesel truck. My 8 year old nephew could figure that one out. I guarantee I've done more than twice as much work building and working on diesels and building and working on racecars in my 21 years than you have in your lifetime. So leave useless points like that out of the argument as they prove absolutely nothing.

And the only thing you'd have to worry about is a good fuel stabilizer and trickle charger for your Hemi battery when storing.
but will get roughly 1/2 the fuel mileage of the Cummins especially when towing.

My two cents I have a 2500 Cummins Diesel 4X4 with the 3.73 ratio and I love it you get a little better mileage with the 3.73 than the 4.10's and there is no difference in towing weight. So I would go with that, look at the specs and go with what you feel is right for you what ever decision you make will be the right on as long as it's a Dodge and not one of the (others). Up untill now it's been a good experience besides with the Diesel even God will be impressed with the power you can make with minimum effort.

When I can hot the diesel up and run it I will. But short hops, no loads as a daily driver, forget it. Get the Hemi and rent a diesel twice a year. R...
