I think I'd rather start with the amp

Yes, look at the IX lineup, very small, powerful and full range/sub class D, so easy on electrical.

you can install by yourself, literally plug and play, 1-2 hours tops. And there is the full kit, 4.1 amp and sub, or just sub.(which is powered also)

How does this sound over the stock sub. and over the factory speakers?
is it a big improvement over them all and just the sub change out?

Do you have the Alpine system?

You can swap out to the Kicker powered sub and see huge gains.

Where can I get the kicker full system upgrade for the 2012 1500 Sport quad cab with the "premium" Alpine system? I checked out the link posted on here and it says its only for the base system... does this upgrade really make a big difference? I find that the alpine system really lacks bass and volume! If the Kicker system would solve those to problems I would be a happy man! I really like the plug and play idea!!! Any info on this would be great!

The Kicker Mopar amp, not the Soundagte one will replace the lacking Alpine amp...the Kicker Mopar amp is a 77KICK45, bolts right where the Alpine is, and the powered sub is 77KICK44, adds a 200w 10" amp/sub over what the 8" Alpine has.

Thanks! I'm having a hard time deciding what I should do... I keep reading that people are changing the dash speakers and then finding that they are drowning everything else out.... I am also having a hard time finding any speakers with 2 ohm impedance... Everything seems to be 4 ohm! How much more power does the Kicker amp provide compared to the stock Alpine?

One more question.. Does the 77KICK45 come with a wiring harness or do you just use all of the existing wiring?
